Centering Prayer is an ancient form of Christian meditation. It is virtually indistinguishable in practice from Eastern forms of meditation. Utilizing a simple meditative anchor, such as the breath or a sacred word, Centering Prayer facilitates the movement of the soul into a state of resting in Divine stillness. Thirty minute offerings on Tuesday evenings at 6pm and Wednesday mornings at 9:45am.
For a Meditation Practice introduction, Rev. Sally Brower offers a weekly teaching and meditation opportunity on Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:30pm. After a brief weekly teaching which includes Q&A, a silent meditation period of 25 minutes commences at 6pm. Newcomers and curiosity seekers are always welcome.
